The resounding answer was peach. So I began my search, filling my <a href="http://pinterest.com/charissazoe/fashion-finds/" target="_blank">Fashion Finds Pinterest board</a> with pictures of peach nails. When I tried to actually find the shade to purchase however, I realised I would be on the hunt for a while. For whatever reason I just couldn't find the right shade of peach. Herein begins my new feature on Beautiful You.... the search for the Right Shade of Peach.<br />
<br />
Attempt 1: Go Local<br />
I stopped by a local Rx ( Mall Plaza Pharmacy for those who are interested) and picked up my first trial run test subject: 'Peach' by Turah.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y0iorx-s4QI/UEzttsEQKzI/AAAAAAAAALk/eL8lahR5x5s/s1600/DSC08449.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y0iorx-s4QI/UEzttsEQKzI/AAAAAAAAALk/eL8lahR5x5s/s320/DSC08449.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Turah is actually a local brand of nail polish, produced right here in Jamaica. I've seen it for years but never really bought one until now. The name of the colour is Peach ( #75) even though it looks more like just a normal pink. Its a sheer polish, and ideally I want an opaque polish with more orange in it, but I figured its local ( buy brand Jamaica woo!!) and its called Peach, I mean.... all signs are clearly pointing to this one! I like the colour a lot, but if you look at my nail polish collection you wouldn't be surprised that I do.... its like 90% shades of pink. I've even gotten a few compliments on it too.<br />
<br />
The only problem I have with this nail polish is that it shifts under top coat. Maybe its the top coat I use, maybe I didn't wait long enough.. I don't know. But even after waiting on entire night, going to bed and all, then applying a top coat in the morning, all of the polish shifted. So I ended up with jacked up nails by the time I got to work.<br />
<br />
That aside, I wore it for an entire week and did not need to do any touch ups, so it wore pretty well. This Turah trial was fairly successful...but I'm not satisfied. So I'll be back with another post soon on the next trial run in my search to find the Right Shade of Peach.<br />

Clip-ins are easy to wear and most of all convenient, no long hours at the salon, just clip in and go. It gives you the versatility to change your look whenever you want, going from short to long, thin to full in just 5 minutes. They are also easy to make! Keep reading to find out how to create your own clip-in hair extensions.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here's what you're gonna need:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- hair of your choice</div>
<div>
- weave/wig clips</div>
<div>
- scissors</div>
<div>
- a comb or brush </div>
<div>
- weaving thread</div>
<div>
- a needle</div>
<div>
- a clip/ hair pin</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Step 1:</b></div>
<div>
Measure the tracks of weave that you are going to put in. Part your hair to where you want the extension to go and secure the hair that would be covering the extension with the clip. Take the weft of hair and measure it against the part that you just created. Cut the hair to the measurement and put aside.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YQE2O1DnkVY/UDrK2QwBMVI/AAAAAAAAAJo/T7yb72fD4p4/s1600/DSC08371.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YQE2O1DnkVY/UDrK2QwBMVI/AAAAAAAAAJo/T7yb72fD4p4/s320/DSC08371.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Step 2:</b></div>
<div>
Assemble your needle and thread and be sure to double the thread and secure it at the end with a knot. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_NqBTCzTEhg/UDrLEdK22WI/AAAAAAAAAJw/APpulZGUWcc/s1600/DSC08372.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_NqBTCzTEhg/UDrLEdK22WI/AAAAAAAAAJw/APpulZGUWcc/s320/DSC08372.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">That's how big the eye needs to be</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Step 3:</b></div>
<div>
NOTE: Because I wanted body/fullness not length I doubled my extensions. So I cut 2 identical tracks and sewed them together onto the weave clips. If you don't want as much body then just use one.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
OPEN all your clips from now. This step is really important because you don't want to make the mistake of sewing your clips onto the weft closed, then go to put them in and can't.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R3Vc5-vlhnw/UDrLce9xjVI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/0QTUo3UxopY/s1600/DSC08378.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R3Vc5-vlhnw/UDrLce9xjVI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/0QTUo3UxopY/s320/DSC08378.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">This is how the clip looks open</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Laying your open clip on the weft, put your needle through the hole at the end, from behind the weft. That way the knot ends up on the other side of the weft, not on the side that goes on your scalp. Repeat this process once or twice. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fax1CSsmsrA/UDrNO3jbf9I/AAAAAAAAAKE/3-zTSkEFBqU/s1600/DSC08373.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fax1CSsmsrA/UDrNO3jbf9I/AAAAAAAAAKE/3-zTSkEFBqU/s320/DSC08373.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Step 4: Closing the stitch</b></div>
<div>
Pull the needle through the hole once more as normal. Before pulling it completely make a loop with the length of thread and pull the needle through the loop, all the way down to the clip. This makes a knot so that the thread won't unravel.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N_wHu9IN4qk/UDrN1-PRxzI/AAAAAAAAAKM/IA--O644NCI/s1600/DSC08374.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N_wHu9IN4qk/UDrN1-PRxzI/AAAAAAAAAKM/IA--O644NCI/s320/DSC08374.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Step 5:</b></div>
<div>
That's it! Repeat the whole process on both sides of each clip. If none of these steps make sense to you then check out my instructional video below:</div>

She also has a video on <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4LWpv9Y3N4&feature=relmfu" target="_blank">how to install your clip-ins</a>.</i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Important tips:</b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
-Start placing your clips at the ends of the track. For the longer tracks you may need to use 3 clips or more. Once you've sewn the clips at the ends then measure the exact center of the track and sew the 3rd. Regardless of the number of clips you use, just ensure that they are evenly spaced.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
-Also I realised that I needed to apply tension to the track when sewing the clips so that the spaces in between each clip didn't bunch up. If you find that the weft tends to get loose just pull on the end of it to make it taut.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- When wearing clip-in extensions you have to be careful when combing your hair. If your hand or a comb pulls the clips or draws them down then they can tear your hair out from the root. So be very careful when combing your hair. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- Some persons sleep in their clip-ins however I wouldn't recommend it because it could contribute to breakage or the clips tearing out your hair </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Resources and HOW MUCH ITS GONNA COST YA:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On average a pack of remi can cost you anywhere around 6000 JMD. I don't remember how much I paid for mine because I've had it for a long time and didn't use it. I think I paid somewhere between 4,000 and 5000 JMD. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I bought 2 different sizes of clips, not on purpose lol, but because I found the bigger ones at a subsequent store. The smaller clips cost $95 plus tax per pack ( 2 in each pack); I got them at Discount Beauty Supply in King's Plaza. The larger clips I got for $65 per pack ( 2 in each pack) from Fundamentals in Premier Plaza ( right on the corner by the lady who sells the underwear from her van... i know you know her, don't play like you don't).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fs99CwULFPQ/UDrPLEWjeJI/AAAAAAAAAKU/UGRl86D6XNM/s1600/DSC08377.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Fs99CwULFPQ/UDrPLEWjeJI/AAAAAAAAAKU/UGRl86D6XNM/s320/DSC08377.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Fundamentals clip on the left, Discount Beauty clip on the right</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I made 2 extensions for myself and 2 for my sister and used a total of 10 clips. I got the weaving thread from Fundamentals as well for like $50. I got the smaller spool of thread because I didn't plan on making many extensions. There is however a larger spool of weaving thread. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You can use a weaving needle to make the extensions however based on Youtube videos I watched, that kind of needle can't fit through the small holes on the clips. So I used a normal sewing needle with a large eye, the thread is much thicker than normal thread so make sure the eye of your needle is large.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LYMVsUX8OIE/T_TX291D80I/AAAAAAAAAJI/sj0V6PfSqGI/s1600/IMG00257-20120704-1746.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LYMVsUX8OIE/T_TX291D80I/AAAAAAAAAJI/sj0V6PfSqGI/s320/IMG00257-20120704-1746.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;">I'm back with a hair post, a review of some new hair products I bought. Its a haul and review.</span><br />
<br />
I bought a few products over the weekend including the new Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition shampoo and conditioner and the Aphoghee 2-step protein treatment.<br />
<br />
So of course with today being one of my wash days I tried out the Garnier products. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 9 and 2 thumbs up! Here's how I size it up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X3lMEmOtBks/T_TW3D7pvGI/AAAAAAAAAJA/X7iJLqX0xd0/s1600/IMG00253-20120704-1717.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X3lMEmOtBks/T_TW3D7pvGI/AAAAAAAAAJA/X7iJLqX0xd0/s320/IMG00253-20120704-1717.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<b><u>Smell:</u></b> Amazeballs! The shampoo smells like a fruity smoothy, and almost like a green apple Jolly Ranchers. The conditioner was a little more sophisticated ( if that makes sense), like a grown up version of the shampoo.<br />
<br />
<u><b>Effectiveness:</b></u> The product claims to make your hair 3 times stronger, healthier and shinier, compared to not using a nourishing shampoo and conditioner. It contains 3 natural oils, avocado, olive and shea, which are supposed to help strengthen each strand from the inside and out.<br />
<br />
Prior to washing my hair I had a fair amount of breakage/fall out. I don't have a pick of what came out this morning but here's a pic of what was left after coming my hair right before washing:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ShBaKNsJQwc/T_TVdps3nfI/AAAAAAAAAIo/-zd3T_KWErI/s1600/IMG00254-20120704-1724.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ShBaKNsJQwc/T_TVdps3nfI/AAAAAAAAAIo/-zd3T_KWErI/s320/IMG00254-20120704-1724.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
When the product was in my hair it felt great! Silky, moisturised, nourished. The conditioner especially felt amazing, and I didn't want to take it out, it JUST FELT SO GOOD! No matter how great it feels while its in your hair, what's really important is how your hair feels afterwards.<br />
<br />
<u><b>The Real Deal</b></u><br />
<br />
While washing out the conditioner I noticed my hair still felt very silky. I was worried that maybe I just still had product in my hair so I kept washing it out, but noticed the silky feeling wasn't really going away. The water kept coming out clean and I realised that YES it was my hair not left over product. Yup! Yesiree! 10 points Garnier!<br />
<br />
<u><b>The Aftermath</b></u><br />
<br />
After towel drying and moisturising with a dime sized amount of coconut oil and Mega Growth Profectiv Break Free Leave-In Strengthener (aka my new daily moisturiser), my hair does feel nourished and stronger and still has that silky feeling. Only 5 strands came out after the final comb through and I left my hair to air dry. I will say tho that during the process a good amount of hair did come out ( see photos below). The amount is normal and nothing to be alarmed about, especially since my hair has not been cut or trimmed in probably over 6 months now. And most of the strands come right out from the root, so most of it isnt breakage. ( I have yet to figure out why the whole strand comes out tho :s. Help plz!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hh2q24AW6mc/T_TVmq3tfFI/AAAAAAAAAIw/ILHxr1nhG-U/s1600/IMG00260-20120704-1752.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hh2q24AW6mc/T_TVmq3tfFI/AAAAAAAAAIw/ILHxr1nhG-U/s320/IMG00260-20120704-1752.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
after 1st comb-out</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dVIV9utKWcY/T_TWYp7lhqI/AAAAAAAAAI4/dd0DzE1sJfk/s1600/IMG00259-20120704-1747.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dVIV9utKWcY/T_TWYp7lhqI/AAAAAAAAAI4/dd0DzE1sJfk/s320/IMG00259-20120704-1747.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
comb-out during conditioner</div>
<br />
Its a 9 so far from me because I can't really judge after just one use. <span style="background-color: white;">The real test will come after several uses, but for a first try Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition is winner in my books.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;">That's all for now!</span><br />
Stay beautiful :)<br />

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">I am super
excited, I finally got my Spring Beauty Influenster VoxBox. Wohoo!! This baby
was packed with cool stuff for me to try. I</span>f you don’t know about
Influenster, check them out. You sign up for free and do little quizzes to earn
badges then if you qualify they choose you to receive a free package called a
VoxBox with samples of products for you to try and review. Since I do this all
the while in real life with products that I try and just recommending them to
by friends I figured I would be able to do Influenster. </span><br />
<span class="apple-style-span"><br /></span><br />
<span class="apple-style-span">I am in Jamaica but I
have a courier address in the states so I had the stuff sent to me here from
there. If you are in the States (Or Canada, they are gonna start shipping there
now) then the products will be sent free to your door. I suppose I’m an
exception because of course to clear the products at customs it costs money.
Anyhoos! I got my VoxBox and here’s whats in it:<o:p></o:p></span></div>

</span></span></span><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">Because of that I couldn’t finish it. Maybe if they had a mini
bar or like ‘Soyjoy Bites’ or something that was half the size and you could
just pop it in your mouth, then that would have gone over better<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">Chapstick LipShield 365gets a better
rating: 5/5. I’ve needed a new chapstick for weeks since my Blistex one
finished. I couldn’t get around to buying one and I was so happy that one came
in this VoxBox. It has SPF50+ ( lots of sunscreen) and skin protectant. Its
supposed to help repvent sunburn as well as prevent cracked/chafed lips like
all lip balms. It was sealed when I got it, in its own cute little package. On
the package it says that its good for all seasons, winter or summer, which is
great because in Jamaica its HOT and summer is approaching so its VERY HOT. [
like sweat in your sleep cause your room feels like fire kinda hot]. I spent Sunday on a catamaran for 3 hours in full sun and made sure to wear my LipShield365. Here are the results:<o:p></o:p></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">-<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;">
</span></span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">It smells like a fruit
smoothie! Thats enough for me to want to use it LOL!</span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">-<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal;">
</span></span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;">The application is smooth
like baby oil. I tried a lip balm the other day from Burt’s Bees and it would
crumble as you put it on, plus it made your lips look white. So i was super
excited when this one went on smoothly</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;"> My lips were fully moisturised for the entire catamaran cruise, they didn't feel chapped at any point in time and I didn't have to reapply.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 115%;"> My only drawback is that it tastes like sunblock ( no I've never eaten sunblock before, it tastes like the smell of sunblock >__>)</span><br />

<br />
So I'm now on day 7 of my first rollerset. I opted out a headband today and decided to pull the front section of my hair back and secure with bobby pins. Because of the way that I tie my hair at night with the headband the curls at the front of my head kept getting pulled back. Now they are more or less straightened out so pulling it back with the bobby pins was a cuter way of keeping everything in place.<br />
<br />
Take a look:<br />

<br />
I know its been a while, but my job has me busier than ever. Happy New Year to you all!! I hope you experience the fullness of God's blessings this year, that you grow and learn from every challenge and that you discover something new about yourself.<br />
<br />
One of the main things I want to work on this year is my hair journey. Since my last post on it I've changed hairdressers and my hair is slowly but surely recovering from the last setback. Its much healthier now and starting to grow again. YAY!!!<br />
<br />
Now I found a new hair and beauty blogger on Youtube <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/EbonyCPrincess?feature=g-u">EbonyCPrincess1</a> at the end of last year. I went to her blog and saw that she was doing a rollerset challenge for 2012. I don't rollerset my hair often but its one of those things that I always want to do but I'm too afraid of doing. I love when my hair is curly, I think its so cute. So I decided to take the plunge and sign up for the challenge. I haven't taken my before pics yet, but I'll take them and post them when I wash next week.<br />
<br />
I washed my hair on Wednesday night as usual (regimen below). For the rollerset I actually used three different types of rollers because I didn't have enough of 1 type. I used the smallest curlers I could find in my mom's stash, plus I used some small flexi rods and these <a href="http://www.google.com.jm/imgres?q=annie+spiral+rod+set&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=923&tbm=isch&tbnid=Q1Ghd-gFzfbG1M:&imgrefurl=http://shopbeautyline.com/en/general-merchandise/1016-annie-spiral-rods-6-ct-5-8-l-.html&docid=Kp1eZRKk8_yUoM&imgurl=http://shopbeautyline.com/1016-1074-large/annie-spiral-rods-6-ct-5-8-l-.jpg&w=300&h=300&ei=B1AQT4j7N5SCtgfu9aCAAg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1014&vpy=277&dur=754&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=132&ty=128&sig=105234647112123662222&page=1&tbnh=133&tbnw=147&start=0&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:13,s:0">strange curlers</a> from Annie. I had the flexi rods at the back, the strange curlers in the middle and the small curlers at the front.<br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: cyan;">Review:</span><br />
<br />
The best curls came from the flexi rod and the small curlers. Ive never done this before so now I know how to manipulate them and what to do. I didn't seal the ends properly which I now know how to correct that. Sealing is definitely important ladies. You didnt want frizz at the end of your curls. The Annie curlers are honestly tricky to use and even when you think you've gotten it right the curls just didn't come out right. For persons more experienced in using them they may get better results but for me, they just didn't work. The fuzziest part of my head right now is where those rods where used.<br />
<br />
Overall I'm happy with how it came out. These pics are from today, the second day. I used Ebony's method of protecting them while sleeping which really worked.<br />

NOW, earlier this year I purchased a makeup kit from Avon (don't knock it till you've tried it), that had a bunchhhhh of stuff in it.. I mean..... NUFF TINGS in it!<br />
(comment if you want to see a haul video ;))<br />
<br />
A lot of the items in it were sample size and I think the kit was part of a special offer at the time. One of the items I LOVE from the kit which I have integrated into my pro kit and daily makeup routine are these little lipglosses. They're <a href="http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?src_page=product_list.aspx&level1_id=300&level2_id=469&pdept_id=483&dept_id=488&pf_id=31418">Glow Baby Glow Luxe</a> lip glosses, from the Mark makeup collection and trust me, you're gonna glow!. The full size bottles arent very big either because they are hookup glosses, which, for those who aren't familiar with Avon or Mark, hookup products are small and have a screwable cap that connects to another product.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QwYdPctQhkU/TqDs3LLzA1I/AAAAAAAAAEQ/zN99_ai5sD0/s1600/PROD_1041134_LG.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QwYdPctQhkU/TqDs3LLzA1I/AAAAAAAAAEQ/zN99_ai5sD0/s1600/PROD_1041134_LG.gif" /></a></div>
This is the full size :<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kXJqDNPcMmI/TqDzK7X9enI/AAAAAAAAAEY/ueTEwBMNa_g/s1600/IMG00999-20111020-2311.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kXJqDNPcMmI/TqDzK7X9enI/AAAAAAAAAEY/ueTEwBMNa_g/s320/IMG00999-20111020-2311.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
This is the sample size:<br />
<br />
<br />
For a bottle that small you get a fairly good amount of product out of it. The colour payoff is also great for such a small bottle. The Luxe collection glosses all have shimmer/glitter in them, Glow Baby Blow glosses don't. The shimmer isn't chunky or heavy and the finish is very glossy. I was also pleasantly surprised that they weren't sticky on my lips. I've found that it also withstands food and drink fairly well and was still on for the most part after eating.<br />
<br />
All in all, I love these little stunners and would definitely recommend them.<br />
<br />
HOW MANY STARS- 5/5<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Here's a look that I did on my first photoshoot this past weekend. Want to know how to recreate this look for a masquerade ball, prom, or anywhere you want to be extra fierce? Scroll down!<br />
<br />
<br />
You will need:<br />
<br />
-lace<br />
-sponges/makeup wedges<br />
-black makeup or face paint<br />
-hair clips/ pins<br />
<br />
1. First off you want to prep the face as usual. Do your usual face cleansing routine and foundation routine. Make sure to moisturise.<br />
2. Do the eye makeup first before applying the mask. This look is a simple smokey eye (will do another tutorial) which only uses three colours: black, dark/medium brown, and any highlight colour of your choice. The colours go from dark to light, from the lid to the brow bone. Smudge the black eyeshadow into the lower lashline and apply lots of liner on the top lash line and bottom waterline (the inner rim of the eye)<br />
3. The Mask: Get a strip or piece of lace wide enough to be placed over both eyes and long enough to go from ear to ear. Using hair pins or clips, secure the lace behind the ears. Wet the sponge or wedge and saturate with a black eyeshadow or face paint. Press the colour into the lace. Do not swipe. Simply press the colour into the lace, adding layers for more pigmented results.<br />
4. Remove the lace carefully. Using a black liquid liner fill in or trace any sparse areas following the pattern on the lace.<br />
5. Set with translucent powder for long wear.<br />
6. To remove mask, wipe off with baby oil and cotton balls or swabs.<br />
<br />
Optional:<br />
<u>Rhinestones</u><br />
Needed:<br />
- lash glue<br />
-rhinestones<br />
-toothpick<br />
<br />
Dip the toothpick into the lash glue and pick up a small bead. The pick up a rhinestone and place on the mask at any desired spot. Press in and let dry. [Note: use a black or clear glue to apply the rhinestones so that when it dries it will blend in]<br />
<br />
The rest of the face was kept neutral, with light contouring of the cheeks (using a dark brown shadow). The lip was a lavender colour to help tie in with the colour of her dress which was lavender/purple/pink. False lashes could also be used to amp up the look if desired.<br />
<br />
So there you have it. Its a pretty simple look to do. And its a fun look, perfect for a party or prom.<br />
<br />
Thats all for now beautiful ppl! Till later<br />

I've been very delinquent in updating my blog, yes I know, but thats because I've been very busy on the road for my new job. I've been going all around my beautiful country getting to know it more and finding out things I was surprised I didn't know. That said, my trips have given me lots of inspiration for makeup looks and tutorials, so get ready for upcoming videos and posts!! Woot! Also, this past weekend I did my very first photoshoot [insert streamers and confetti throwing here]. I hired my awesome photographer friend Keisha Miles and asked some of my gorgeous friends to be models. All in all the shoot was amazing and as soon as I get the pics you'll be sure to see them on my Facebook page.<a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Charissa-Zoe-Makeup-Artist/109485485792230">http://www.facebook.com/pages/Charissa-Zoe-Makeup-Artist/109485485792230</a>. But until then I'll be putting up pics and tutorials/pictorials of how to achieve the looks from the photoshoot during this week.<br />
<br />
That's all for now but stay tuned for more!<br />

So far I'm around 6 weeks post relaxer however I'm going to stretch my relaxer until at least 10 weeks. For those of you who are starting a hair journey here's a quick look at my hair regimen so that you can see what one looks like. There are a ton of websites out there for girls who want healthier longer hair and I would definitely recommend subscribing to one of them because they provide immense support and information, especially for first timers like myself. My number 1 recommendation is <a href="http://www.hairlista.com/">Hairlista Inc.</a> -its free, helpful and the girls on the site are really friendly and willing to help.<br />
<br />
Hair regimen:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0RMh6V_vE7Q/Te1qdHM36nI/AAAAAAAAADw/pWGcnvPpuDc/s1600/ab_organics_carrot_oil.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0RMh6V_vE7Q/Te1qdHM36nI/AAAAAAAAADw/pWGcnvPpuDc/s200/ab_organics_carrot_oil.jpg" width="183" /></a>Every day- I moisturize with a water based moisturizer, right now I'm using Organics Carrot Oil. I just part my hair and oil the scalp from the back to the front in 1-2 inch sections. I also use Sulphur8 Medicated Anti-Dandruff Hair and Scalp Conditioner because I have dry scalp. I use the Sulphur 8 first before I use the Carrot Oil.<br />
<br />
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday- I moisturize with 100% castor oil. Castor oil is great to strengthen and lengthen your hair. If you check Hairlista Inc as well as Youtube you may see girls doing castor oil challenges to boost their hair journeys.<br />
<br />
Wednesday- I do a hot oil treatment to increase moisture every Wednesday. I'll use 100% castor oil or a mixture of castor and 100% olive oil. Apply it to the whole head and put on a cap. Sometimes I leave it in overnight then wash it out in the morning.<br />
<br />
Saturday- Saturday is my second wash day. Whereas on Wednesdays I will just wash out the hot oil treatment with conditioner, on a Saturday I wash my hair. Depending on how I feel I'll pre-poo ( using a natural oil prior to shampooing; a minor hot oil treatment), then I do a protein treatment using Organic Root Stimulator's Hair Mayonnaise. For a heavier protein treatment I add an egg and some virgin olive oil to my hair mayonnaise and leave it on under a cap for at least an hour without heat.<br />
<br />
Whenever I wash my hair I air dry it, and as a rule of thumb I stay away from heat as much as I can. I flat iron my hair when I get it relaxed, around every 10 weeks<br />
<br />
Ive only been on a hair journey since April of this year but so far I can see the results in my hair in terms of seeing my hair get stronger. Its still somewhat of a struggle but I'm gonna keep working towards APL (Arm Pit Length) by the end of this year.<br />
<br />
That's all for now beautiful people! If you have any questions then don't be afraid to comment.<br />
<br />
till later<br />

Today I'm gonna show you how to achieve this look ------> a soft blue smokey eye<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Firstly prime the eye: I'm using my Coastal Scents Eclipse Palette<br />
( <a href="http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/2216_140/eclipse-concealer-palette.cfm">http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/2216_140/eclipse-concealer-palette.cfm</a>)<br />
[ 2nd from the right at the bottom]<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eaBEKQPgvaE/Tc6UxXAdyFI/AAAAAAAAAC8/Hz_V5WdHuGc/s1600/DSC04981.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eaBEKQPgvaE/Tc6UxXAdyFI/AAAAAAAAAC8/Hz_V5WdHuGc/s200/DSC04981.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AGmemMb9FCY/Tc6U6D5BDRI/AAAAAAAAADA/AvDPqvZStD4/s1600/DSC04984.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AGmemMb9FCY/Tc6U6D5BDRI/AAAAAAAAADA/AvDPqvZStD4/s200/DSC04984.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then taking a highlight colour, place that on the brow bone. I'm using two I-Mark eyeshadows from Mark by Avon, Whisper( bottom right) and Fairy Dust( top left). I mix those two together then apply it to the browbone.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fYvCHFZzTy8/Tc6VUdhrF7I/AAAAAAAAADI/_OdT4mdD-N4/s1600/DSC04986.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fYvCHFZzTy8/Tc6VUdhrF7I/AAAAAAAAADI/_OdT4mdD-N4/s200/DSC04986.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--d3FEuZpAm4/Tc6VK7bZd-I/AAAAAAAAADE/4JLZ2M7xGzI/s1600/DSC04985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--d3FEuZpAm4/Tc6VK7bZd-I/AAAAAAAAADE/4JLZ2M7xGzI/s200/DSC04985.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then I apply Corset( 2nd from right bottom row) by I-Mark in the crease and on the outer V</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Afterwards, take Whisper and Fairy Dust again and apply to the lid. On top of that add NYX pearl loose eyeshadow in Pink to the inner corner</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RcGUR3c_UXI/Tc6VdmS_9DI/AAAAAAAAADM/2_LpQTzmA-E/s1600/DSC04988.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OB4vbwmAqBE/Tc6Uo4zssKI/AAAAAAAAAC4/D4dTiS_SAeE/s1600/DSC04965.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OB4vbwmAqBE/Tc6Uo4zssKI/AAAAAAAAAC4/D4dTiS_SAeE/s200/DSC04965.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i7t3V0m4Nyk/Tc6WVWyckYI/AAAAAAAAADk/doBHFBz2OAA/s1600/DSC04998.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i7t3V0m4Nyk/Tc6WVWyckYI/AAAAAAAAADk/doBHFBz2OAA/s200/DSC04998.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BW4Ix2_kqCc/Tc6WMmCg3AI/AAAAAAAAADg/bLGBbrv6Tu8/s1600/DSC04997.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BW4Ix2_kqCc/Tc6WMmCg3AI/AAAAAAAAADg/bLGBbrv6Tu8/s200/DSC04997.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Then apply a black eyeshadow to the outer V to darken it. I'm using the black from my Coastal Scents 88 palette.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qBB5rCOC7XE/Tc6VxdUv_EI/AAAAAAAAADU/WUhwKYWhLqA/s1600/DSC04993.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qBB5rCOC7XE/Tc6VxdUv_EI/AAAAAAAAADU/WUhwKYWhLqA/s200/DSC04993.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<br />
Add eyeliner to both lid and lower waterline, use the Corset eyeshadow on the lower lash line, add mascara and YOU'RE DONE!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. I hope you had a great day with your children. For my mom we went out to a nice brunch before taking her to the airport because she had to go to Canada for work. I did this look today, a natural look, really simple with a pop of gold eyeshadow. This look can easily go from day to night by brightening the gold. I hope you like!<br />
<br />
Make a mother smile today! :)<br />

<br />
I've decided to start a hair journey, like many persons have done on Youtube. I'm just starting and my first goal is APL ( Arm Pit Length). My plan so far is to co wash once a week on Wednesdays and to wash it on Saturdays, both times I will deep condition/moisture treatment. Then every 6 weeks I'll do a protein treatment. Also im gonna stretch out my relaxer to at least 10 or 12 weeks. I moisturise every day with either coconut oil or a mixture natural oils ( coconut, castor, jojoba, olive etc)<br />
<br />
Thats basically it for now. I really want to get to APL but i have to get my hair healthy first because right now its breaking pretty badly. Updates will be coming!! See pics below for where I'm at right now.<br />

I definitely wanted to share this info with all of you beautiful people out there!!<br />
<br />
To start off, I've been hearing so much about these palettes from Youtubers and makeup artistes here in Kingston, so I figured why not try them out. My opinion: they lived up to expectation! Here are my favourite things about this palette:<br />
<br />
1. Inexpensive- Coastal Scents products are inexpensive right across the board, from their foundations, to palettes to concealers, all of their products will not break your budget!<br />
2. Quality- I found the 88 palette to be of great quality. The colour payoff from the shadows is phenomenal and the size of each eyeshadow in the palette isn't bad for the price.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EADZrdnMi04/TbxNGQbzS5I/AAAAAAAAAAY/L3gqa_2g_wE/s1600/88ORIGINALpalette_OldPhotoOnWhite.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EADZrdnMi04/TbxNGQbzS5I/AAAAAAAAAAY/L3gqa_2g_wE/s320/88ORIGINALpalette_OldPhotoOnWhite.jpg" width="320" /></a>3. Range of colours- OMG!!! So many colours to choose from!! I love that the range of colours in the palette is so wide and also the colours range from matte to shimmer in terms of finish. Love, love love!<br />
<br />
The only problems I had with this particular palette is that when I got it, the red to the right of the palette at the bottom was loose and it fell out and broke. :( But I dont know if thats Coastal Scent's fault or if it got banged up during shipping and stuff, but all it takes is some hot glue and it can go right back in.<br />
<br />
So thats it!! My review of the Coastal Scents 88 palette. I definitely recommend their products to anyone, whether you're a beginner or a pro makeup artist. The products are affordable, of great quality and they are going to last a long time. Check them out here at <a href="http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm">http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm</a> and you can see the host of other products that they have. Also, they have sales all the time so its good to check their site pretty often.<br />
<br />
<i>Till next time </i><br />

<br />
Just finished up a crazy week at school. I'm in my final year doing public relations and the pressure is on! I did however get a chance to do some makeup at school recently. I worked on a dance show for the University Dance Society; they were great to work with and I'm so glad I did the show because now I've made so many potential clients and even better friends :). Check out my FB page for some of the photos and stay tuned here for pics as well.Charissa :)http://www.blogger.com/profile/01055821667369385858noreply@blogger.com0
